To have legal force in Russia, foreign documents should be legalized in the country of origin and translated into Russian. Only notarized translations are suitable for official purposes and for submission to Russian governmental bodies and other authorities.

A notarized translation is a translation that is signed by the professional translator in the presence of a notary public. The translation can be attached to the original or to a copy of the document. The sheets are laced, signed and stamped by the notary public with indication of the total number of pages.
